And Also, Find out that this might be the last ever recorded episode of Game Shows, I Suppose!

The more I try and get excited, the more fatigue and less fun it is, and also, the industry is crumbling, and it just sorta sucks for everybody from the producers and talent, to the contestants, to the audience. We can do so much better, but also, we can’t!

And if there is a new game show out and I go “oh yeah” like I don’t care, that’s very striking for this whole television industry, especially looking at early episodes and that optimism and joy that these things bring.

This sucks, these aren’t fun, this is just background noise for someone’s dentist’s office.

You aren’t creating something that could be as addicting as wordle, or as exciting as reality television, there is simply no point.

This is what is leading me to quit the podcast about game shows, and just leaving it to a single tweet (or blue sky or thread, or whatever we will do in the next couple months) that just says “oh yeah, i saw that, hmmm”

Anyway, it’s been fun, but we are at the end of the road with this. And all the archivists really only care about the 1970s and 1980s eras, and nothing in the last couple decades, so let’s just do the smart thing and WALK AWAY AND TAKE THE MONEY
