Game shows come in many flavors, you have a quiz show, you have a social game, you have a challenge-based series, and sometimes, you get the weird outsiders where it’s tough to really put in the box.

And that’s the dating show.

Dating Shows typically are very cheap to produce, and fall more in line with a “documentary reality series” like “Blind Date”, than necessarily an elimination-based series, like “Elimidate”

While, I really wanted this out on Valentine’s Day, I decided to just make the quickest, laziest version of this, because I am pretty sure we will cover these eventually, when I can get back online.

THE SHOWS ON THE LIST:

Take Me Out - A studio based series that’s a speed version of “The Bachelor” or “Singled Out” but in the hands of the 50 (or in this case 20), it also contains a bit of Love Connection in the next episode.

Perfect Score - Take those OK Cupid personality tests from when you were 19 and scared. And imagine a game show where you and your friend can find love, AND make up to $100,000.

FBoy Island - A comedy based game show, that takes the “Joe Millionaire” and “For Love or Money” approach to a dating show of “are you here for me, or here for money” and straight up tell you to the face - half of them yes, half of them know, figure it out!

Are You The One? - MTV’s best dating show. Take a the same concept of “find your perfect match” add that cash prize, and bring in a reveal every episode of if a couple is actually a perfect match or not based on the result and see the reaction.

Chains of Love? - A dating show from the maker of The Floor, imagine Elimidate, but with people in shackles, and imagine a cash prize at the end that is essentially a one man prisoner’s dilemma.

All of this, plus a review of DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND (because I know you did not read the article)
