The Big Update!

Hi friends, it’s been a while, apparently, the last time I updated this was in APRIL, i know, i know, technically the podcast is up here so I update this website constantly, but go figure, May, June, July and August needs updating...

So, uh, let me update… not much?

I got a “Blue Ribbon Podcast Award” for “Best Game Show Podcast” at this year’s BugCon, but situations made it impossible to show-up and take them! (But hey, thank you to Franklin & Uncle Howard)

I have been battling with sleep, and I think the issue is simply getting a new mattress, and maybe getting some of those Olly gummy sleep things, and I should be okay, hopefully maybe?

Let’s just go through all the things I saw…

Avengers: Endgame - thought it kind of sucked, actually. It’s what happens with too many characters, I have the same vibes with “Young Justice”

Detective Pikachu - liked it, lots of fanservice, thought the CGI was rough in some scenes though, it was good!

Fast Five - okay, i can understand why people like the F&F franchise, very over-the-top in it’s action, yet sincere in it’s character relationships

Game Show wise - I did see all the new favorites like “Card Sharks” and “Press Your Luck” and “Spin The Wheel” and reviewed them for the podcast! The TL:DR is “Card Sharks is good, but it needs to be either 7 questions or 7 cards to turn over, because ten is too much” “Press Your Luck is very good, love the personal PYL board, but think the million dollar prize is tacked on with a nearly-impossible final” and “Spin the Wheel is better than The Wall, but needs something that isn’t just RNG to the contestant”

Wrestling-wise, I haven’t seen WWE in over a year, but hey, Ricochet dressed up like Nightwing, that was really cool! Instead i watched AEW and NJPW, and so far, they are “pretty good, actually” I couldn’t get through the entire “G1” tournament, but AEW feels like it’s just “Indie Darlings : The Promotion” and is offering something for everybody, but I am hesitant it will create big money match-ups, but it is bringing “something for everybody” which is good.

Video games-wise, I played just Super Mario Maker 2, that’s it, no other video games…

And the final piece of updating is “getting back into writing” and made a poll about it

I know I haven’t updated this website and want to write more, but if it’s not here, then maybe in a book?

One of the ideas I had was to take “Game Shows, I Suppose” and make somewhat of a “Book Adaption” of the podcast. This means essays about different shows, what different occupations means, the importance of Standards and Practices, and then all the opinion pieces such as “why models deserve better” and “the leftist-case for game shows” besides a playful review of a game show from the past or present to go along with it.

Do I have a publisher? Nope. Have I started writing it? Not really. But I do have an outline, and I do have plenty of time, no deadline yet on this project! But hey, if “My Favorite Murder” and “Chapo Trap House”, why not the guy who is picking up where “Reality Show Show” left off?

I am sure somebody would read whatever weird goop goes into those pages. Right? RIGHT?

It's been a while.
