The Big Birthday

D0mouYbUYAE3NET.jpg

I just turned 30. I did it. I become an adult. I celebrated it with a ton of content for the internet, and at the opening of a Dave and Busters, but other than that - same as usual.

I was going to write something the day of, but instead, I wanted to post it almost a week after the fact, to thank everybody for all their kind words of Happy Birthday statements. Even if it’s just a Facebook notification.

So thank you everybody, for the presents (rather it’s Steam Games or Gift Cards to Red Robin Yum) it’s all very thoughtful of you, and I will pretty much go through as much as I could.

So far, this year has been an alright year, as far as “Game Shows, I Suppose” is growing in audience (it went from 6 to 16 to now 26!) and i hope it continues from there. I am trying to do a new “podcast logo” and today, I developed the new podcast logo

The official logo for “Game Shows, I Suppose”, tomorrow, I am going to print this out on note cards and hold them up like a real game show host.

Speaking of Real Game Show Hosts…

#JordanForCardSharks

Recently, there was an announcement of a revival of “Press Your Luck” and then the next day, Card Sharks was announced they were casting.

And while on paper, it might be a bit - but because America’s Funniest Home Videos was taken, and they obviously won’t make the Nightwing movie anytime soon. I might as well shoot for the obvious option - Hosting the revival of the game show that would work best with me!

If you have never seen Card Sharks before, check out the last “solo episode” of game shows I suppose about it. But if you don’t have time - contestants had to predict what 100 people from different backgrounds said to "Yes/No” questions (Ex. “We asked 100 Cheerleaders, growing up, did you ever have stage fright?” this was to determine who had control of their set of 5 cards in a game of Acey-Ducey (Aces High, Twos Low - Is the next card higher or lower than the one before it?)

It’s a show with very funny survey questions (perfect for pairing with Family Feud) and when it comes to the end, has the drama of a luck-based game show with the “Money Cards”. That this is pretty much the game show that is a great fit for me as host.

So why not campaign for something that comes from the heart - Hosting a revival of a game show that had it’s own DOS Video Game?

So feel free to follow the action, and use the hashtags, I heard social media is a thing these days, so let’s use it for a late birthday present - a fun gig where I flip oversized playing cards and ask questions about if Uber Drivers ever had a customer vomit in their car.

What makes a good game show?
